Corby station re-opened its' doors on the morning of February 23, 2009 for the first time since 1990

Currently there is only one train to London and back each day whilst East Midlands Trains waits to get the Hull Trains Pioneers into service. Two sets are already repainted into EMT livery but not yet in service.

A general view of the new station

The first train was formed of 222 009 and 222 019 and departed dead on time at 06:37hrs for St Pancras

The return working is the 18:00hrs from St Pancras and on February 23, 2009 comprised just 222 001 - shown here on arrival in Corby

Thanks to Richard Gennis for these shots
