Only ever seen once before a Western heads through Wellingborough station. On May 08, 2008 D1015 on 0Z52 Old Oak to the Midland Railway Centre to pick up D182 for the North Yorks Moors Railway Diesel Gala

I am reliably informed that in the 1960s a Western rescued a broken down Peak hauled freight at Bedford and dragged the train to Wellingborough yard. Could anyone please put a date to this event and the number of the Western?
