56078 and 56115 on the final Class 56 railtour on March 31, 2004. In the left hand photo 56078 is seen at Mirfield with 1Z57 12:41hrs York to York via Manchester. The final passenger working was the 17:43hrs York to Bristol with 56115 and 56078 in charge seen above at Milford Junction in fading light.

37203 and 37047 on March 20, 2004 with a Marylebone to Fenchurch Street railtour. Seen above at Kew East Jcn. and Wimbledon

On April 08, 2004 Midland Mainline ran several trains in conjunction with the closure of the train-shed at St. Pancras for conversion into a new Euro-tunnel terminus. Above 47355 is seen heading 1Z44 08:10hrs Derby to St. Pancras at Glendon, whilst 45112 heads 1Z46 Leicester to St. Pancras at Radwell.
