The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway operates tourist passenger trains between Wirksworth and Ravenstor using DMUs,

They will reopen to Duffield in 2010 to connect with the Midland Mainline

They also operate mytestrack.com which offers infrastructure services for the rail engineering industry by providing facilities for vehicle testing in an environment away from the mainline

Mainline locos present at Wirksworth include D8001, 03158 (D2158), 03084 (D2084) , 31414

Shunter RH 319284 is numbered 11520 to replicate a former BR shunter but it is a different type

DMUs present include examples from Class 101, 108, 117 and 121
