The stock that is normally used during the week on the additional Euston to Birmingham service (including DVT) was used to form a Crewe to Tyne Yard empty coaching stock movement via London on May 09, 2009. It is seen at Marholm with Scotrail liveried 90021 on the front and 90035 dead on the rear. It was then going to be used on Sunday, May 10, 2009 on a football special from Newcastle to Wembley in conjunction with Whitley Bay FC appearing in the F.A. Vase Final against Glossop North End at Wembley.
