In 1963 or 1964 the Bedford Branch of the Locomotive Club of Great Britain organised a brake-van tour of the branch lines in the Wellingborough and Kettering area. These photos show 78028 at various locations during the day. None of these branch lines survive today.
On the outskirts of Kettering on the line that formerly went to Cambridge but truncated back to Cranford by this date.
