Photos on this page by David Allen An R.C.T.S. railtour on May 18, 1968 took a Met-Cammell three car unit to Higham Ferrers (at the end of the branch line from Wellingborough). Power car here is M50313. The same railtour also took in the branch to Loddington from Kettering, here seen passing the scrapyard at Cransley (with quite a few steam locos awaiting their fate in the background). Power car 50331 leads. A Class 310 unit on its' side at Roade after being hit by an open door on a down parcels train on January 01, 1970. The steam crane is in attendance.
