On January 29, 2005 Past-Time Rail ran the excellent "Barmouth Barker" railtour from Northampton to Pwllheli which entailed crossing Barmouth Bridge. Class 67 67016 took the tour from Northampton to Birmingham International and was then replaced by 37427 and 37669. At Machynlleth 37669 was removed and placed in the sidings as the weight restriction on Barmouth Bridge meant only one Class 37 was allowed to go all the way to Pwllheli. 37669 was left in the sidings at Machynlleth to wait for the return journey Appropriately 37427 "Bont Y Bermo" (Barmouth Bridge), which had been specially brought down from Motherwell overnight for the tour, was allowed to continue to Pwllheli The weather certainly played its part well, and here 37427 is seen heading towards Barmouth Crossing the bridge at Barmouth 37427 rests at Pwllheli upon arrival More photos from the Barmouth Barker Railtour
