The photos in this section were initially from the 1960s taken by Les Pitcher in the death throes of steam locos in the U.K. These have been enhanced with shots from friends and their collections from the 60s through to the present day.

 The copyright on all photos remains strictly with the author.

Standard 4-6-0 No.73001 runs into Radstock on the Somerset & Dorset Railway with an express from Bath in the mid 60s
